Prodexpo: 25 Years Ago and Today

Prodexpo, which is as old as the food market of the new Russia, celebrates its 25th anniversary in 2018. In the early days of the trade show Russian companies constituted only a sixth of the total number of patriciants (75 companies out of 450). The major part of the products was represented by foreign companies. Today, Prodexpo impresses with its size and hits the world top ten food shows. Two thirds of the participants are Russian manufacturers and suppliers of food and drinks from all regions of Russia. Thus, the number of Russian participants has increased 22 times. Over 25 years the number of the Prodexpo participants has increased more than 5-fold and the exhibition space – 5,5-fold.

"We have made a long way as well as the Russian food market as a whole. I consider Prodexpo as a good platform to come up with business solutions. The information and contacts you get here help understand what’s going on in the Russian market, how it develops and what steps to be taken in the future."

Tatyana Piskareva, Head of Prodexpo Exhibition

Prodexpo is included in the event calendar of the food market professionals, i.e. manufacturers and suppliers interested in the renewal and expansion of their product range in different regions of Russia. Nowadays the trade show is of strategic importance for the development of the food sector of the Russian economy which allows identifying the latest trends in the food and drinks market.

According to the Russian National Exhibition Rating, Prodexpo was recognized Russia's largest exhibition in the Food Products category in all nominations.
