Successful debut of Prodexpo Organic

14 / 02 / 2019

This year a new Prodexpo Organic Salon complemented a large display of the Prodexpo 2019 international exhibition that ran at Expocentre Fairgrounds.

The Salon participants were manufacturers and suppliers of organic food and drinks having an organic certificate valid till the end of February 2019. Next to Prodexpo Organic there were stands of manufacturers whose products were at the stage of conversion transition and the companies whose organic product range is less than 70%.

The participants in Prodexpo Organic were 38 companies from Russia, Italy, Greece, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Bolivia, and Vietnam. Juices, drinks, tea from Germany, desserts, canned food, and vegetable soups from France, coconut products from Sri Lanka, oils from Thailand, coffee and tea from the Netherlands, and baobab products from Zimbabwe were submitted for approval of the industry experts.

The Russian organic products, namely, dairy products, cheese, groceries, confectionery, drinks, and many others were showcased by the companies from Kaluga, Rostov, Tula, Tambov, Yaroslavl, and other regions. The Kuban Organic Farmers Association put on display fresh vegetables and fruit. The Salon showcase was accompanied by business networking of organic professionals that took place at the conference on Organic Products in Retail: Problems and Solutions. It was organised by Look.Bio and Expocentre AO. The conference participants were organic manufacturers of Russia and their foreign counterparts. There was also organised a professional competition for the best organic product.

According to editor-in-chief of Look.Bio Tatyana Lebedeva, the conference at Expocentre became the most attended event in organics enabling the industry experts to discuss many things with those who were interested in promotion of these products. The competition and awarding of the best organic manufacturers were an additional incentive and another marketing opportunity to promote organic products to the Russian market.
