Prodexpo 2026 is open
The 33rd edition of the International Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials – Prodexpo 2026, organised by EXPOCENTRE AO, has opened at Crocus Expo. The event is held with the support of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, and the auspices of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Prodexpo has been playing a strategic role in the development of the food industry for over three decades. The show is a key platform for manufacturers and suppliers to communicate and network with buyers from federal and regional retail chains, marketplaces, public catering chains, restaurants, and government representatives.
This year, Prodexpo welcomes more than 2,000 exhibitors from 37 companies. Almost 1,500 of them are Russian. National pavilions are organised by 13 countries. There are 48 regional pavilions of Russian regions.
The edition of 2026 enjoys the show's usual large scale with all its demanded product sectors from basic food and beverages to delicacies, halal, organic, sports, functional, baby food, healthy lifestyle, exotic products, ingredients, as well as alcohol, tobacco, equipment, glass containers, packaging and packaging solutions. Unlike last year, the equipment, packaging, and ingredients sectors have returned to the programme.
In 2026, a significant increase in the exposition is demonstrated by such pillars of Prodexpo as Meat and Meat Products (+40%), Dairy Products. Chees (+12%), Frozen Foods. Semi-Prepared Products (+20%), Groceries. Cereals. Pasta. Spices, Kitchen Herbs (+14%), and Confectionery. Bakery. Snacks. Nuts. Dried Fruit (+16%).
As usual, the display of Prodexpo 2026 is complemented by a large-scale conference programme. This year's key topic will be set by the Plenary Session on the Food Market: Omnichannel Retail, Regulatory Changes, New Consumer Trends. Challenges and Solutions. A large block of events will be dedicated to retail analytics and technologies, effective strategies for the FMCG business, labeling, and PLB. One of the key events will be the Purchasing Centre of Retail Chainsòì.
At the official opening ceremony, Sergey Katyrin, President at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stressed that the support of domestic manufacturers in the regions is an absolute priority for the Chamber.
"This show might be the only one that brings together almost all regions of the Russian Federation," said Sergey Katyrin. "Today, there are pavilions of 48 regions of Russia here. It is nine regions more than last year. This is a unique opportunity for small and medium-sized enterprises from all over the country to reach the federal and international levels."
Maxim Fateev, General Director at EXPOCENTRE, noted that the exhibition area and the number of participants have increased this year.
"Prodexpo is the largest food trade show," said Maxim Fateev. "The floor space has grown by 20% this year. We have opened new pavilions, new salons. The conference programme has become even more intense. This year, companies from 37 countries have come to us. I am grateful, first of all, to our esteemed exhibitors, colleagues who have come from all over the country, from many countries of the world, for their trust in EXPOCENTRE and for their trust in Prodexpo."
Vladimir Kashin, Chair at the Russian State Duma Committee on Agrarian Issues, stressed that Russia is currently participating in the global food supply agenda for the world's population. Therefore, there are a large number of foreign visitors and representatives of regional companies of Russia at the show.
Nikolay Kharitonov, Chair at the Russian State Duma Committee on the Development of the Russian Far East and the Arctic, noted that Prodexpo 2026 is rightfully considered one of the key, largest and most reputable trade shows in Russia. It helps strengthening this country's food security and increasing the investment attractiveness of the Russian regions.
Maxim Protasov, Head at Roskachestvo, spoke about the trends presented at Prodexpo 2026 and expressed confidence that the show will continue developing.
The official opening ceremony was attended by the representatives of the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, and ambassadors of several countries.
