International Halal Congress at Prodexpo 2026
Prodexpo 2026 hosted the 15th International Halal Congress. The event was organised by the International Center for Standardization and Certification "Halal" under the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation.
The International Halal Congress is the oldest and most recognized Russian event dedicated to halal products and services in this country. It has been held since 2011 and now brings together experts and practitioners in the field of halal certification and standardization, halal production technology, export of halal products abroad, and working on new foreign markets.
On behalf of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation, a welcoming speech was read by the Administration’s Deputy Chair Rafik Fattakhetdinov.
“Fifteen years of work of the congress is an occasion to once again sum up the results of our common efforts,” said Rafik Fattakhetdinov. “Today, the export of halal products from our country is approaching an estimate of half a billion US dollars per year. The responsible approach of the manufacturers, supported by experts and monitored by reputable certification bodies, allowed the Russian consumer to form a clear understanding of halal as a synonym for quality and safety.”
The congress was attended by Russian Deputy Minister of Agriculture Roman Nekrasov, representatives of the diplomatic corps of Arab Muslim countries from Bahrain, Indonesia, Iran, Mauritania, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, and the heads of the largest Russian exporting companies in the halal industry.
Prodexpo 2026 features a pavilion of certified manufacturers of halal products, organised by the International Center for Standardization and Certification "Halal" under the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of the Russian Federation and the National Union of Manufacturers of Halal Products and Services.
