AlcoCongress predicts the market of the future

The 21st AlcoCongress takes place within the conference programme of Prodexpo 2026. This year's key topic is the alcohol market of the future: local strategies for global change.

Yuri Yudich, Head at the AlcoCongress, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech and identified the main topics for discussion by the expert community.

It has become a tradition to open the Alcongress with a report by the Nielsen company. Ilya Smirnov, Head at the Alcohol Industry Customer Relations Group, presented an analysis of market trends and a picture of consumer preferences.

The AlcoCongress participants not only discusses the current situation, but also provide answers to pressing questions of concern to market players such as how to develop a business in the alcohol sector, which areas make sense to invest in, and which are not worth it yet, what to bet on, and many others.

The first section is devoted to Russian winemaking. The topics of state support for winemakers, wine guides, as well as the successes of the Russian Wine brand abroad were discussed. A separate topic was the problems of small Russian winemakers. 

The second section is held in a free discussion format and tries to provide answers to questions about where the industry will go in the face of global changes in the alcohol market, related to both the changing geopolitical situation and the changing consumer model.
