Press-Release of the PRODEXPO2014 The 21st International Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials

The largest in Russia and Eastern Europe 21st International Exhibition for Food, Beverages and Food Raw Materials Prodexpo’2014 will run on 10-14 February in Pavilions Nos. 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 8, Forum, Central, Centre-Forum and on open sites of Expocentre Fairgrounds.

The exhibition is organized by Expocentre ZAO and supported by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation. The trade show runs under auspices of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Moscow City Government.

The Prodexpo exhibition carries the logos of UFI the Global Association of the Exhibition Industry and RUEF the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs.

According to the Russian Ranking compiled by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation and the Russian Union of Exhibitions and Fairs, Prodexpo was recognized the largest Exhibition in Russia for food in nominations: Exhibition Space, Professional Interest and Market Coverage.

This year the total exhibition space will exceed 100 000 sq m gross.

The best samples of food and beverages, latest achievements and technologies will be showcased by over 2 300 companies from 63 countries such as Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chili, China, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Hungary, India, Iran, Ireland, Island, Israel, Italy, Japan, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldavia, Montenegro, Morocco, the Netherlands, Paraguay, the Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Republic of Korea, the Republic of South Africa, Romania, Russia, Serbia, Spain, Sri-Lanka, Switzerland, Tajikistan, Thailand, Tunis, Turkey, the USA, the United Arab Emirates, Ukraine, Uruguay, Uzbekistan, Vietnam.

Companies from Bosnia and Herzegovina will make their debut at the Prodexpo.

Renowned global manufacturers and suppliers of food and beverages will showcase their products at Prodexpo’2014, among them Nicolas International (France), Tonnies Lebensmittel (Germany), Cibus Southamerica (Uruguay), Myllyn Paras OY (Finland), Cykoria S.A. (Poland), European Quality Food (Denmark), Tea Tang, Imperial Teas (Sri-Lanka), Vetroelite S.P.A. (Spain) and others. Foreign exposition consisting of more than 850 companies will showcase their products and technologies.

Russia will be presented by more than 1450 enterprises of food industry from all the regions of the country. Among the most notable Russian exhibitors are the following: Ostankino Meat Processing Plant, Miratorg, Meat Processing Plant Setun’, Velkom, Neva Cheese, Agro-Alliance, Glavprodukt-torg, Masterfood, Kristall, Sordis, Tatspirtprom, Diamond Foods, Luding, Moskovskiy Kombinat Shampanskikh Vin and others.

A large number of national pavilions is a distinctive feature of the Prodexpo exhibition. Thirty-five companies will be presented at the national level in 2014, among them Argentina, Armenia, Australia, Austria, Brazil, Bulgaria, Chili, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Mexico, Montenegro, Morocco, Paraguay, Poland, Portugal, the Republic of South Africa, Serbia, Spain, Sri-Lanka, Turkey, the USA, Uruguay.

France will participate in Prodexpo’2014 and arrange its 20th anniversary exposition occupying the area of more than 700 sq m and presented by nearly 60 companies.

Such countries as Poland, China, Baltic countries, Paraguay have considerably increased their exhibition space this year.

National pavilions arranged by Armenia, Morocco and Montenegro which made their debut in 2013 will also participate in 2014. Turkish national pavilion will reappear at Prodexpo’2014 after a long break. Japan, Bulgaria and Brazil will also return to the exhibition. The Republic of South Africa will make its debut with a national stand.

New page called National Pavilions at was launched at the official site of the Prodexpo exhibition. It enables the organizers of national pavilions to present the exhibitors and products and thus generate visitors’ interest in advance.

Collective expositions organized by the Russian regions will showcase their products at the exhibition, among them Pskov Region (organized by ANO Fund of Guarantees and Enterprise Development of Pskov Region), Smolensk Region (Smolensk Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Tula Region (Regional Fund ‘Business Support Centre BUSINESS-HUB of Tula Region’), Kirov Region (Vyatka Chamber of Commerce and Industry).

Expocentre will continue promotion of the Counterfeit-Free Exhibitions Project, designed to reduce the number of counterfeited products showcased at the exhibitions, at the Prodexpo’2014 exhibition (Pavilion No. 2, Hall 1, Stand 2101).

Employment Centre will be also arranged this year (Pavilion No. 8, Hall 5, Stand 8522).

For exhibitors, visitors and specialists’ convenience the exhibition is organized according to thematic sectors. Every sector presents a particular branch of the food industry.

The 1st International Eco Bio Salon included in the Prodexpo exhibition will make its debut in 2014. It is organized by Expocentre ZAO jointly with International Eco Bio Centre (France). About 30 Russian and foreign companies will participate in the Salon and showcase bio products of more than 200 manufacturers from different countries. Conference on Development of the Bio Products Market. Russian and Foreign Practices will be held in the frames of the exhibition. Tasting and presentation of eco-bio goods made by manufacturers from all over the world are also included in the programme.

One of the most significant salons at Prodexpo is the Meat and Meat Products, Cooked Meats, Poultry, Eggs Salon. Over 200 exhibitors from 26 countries will showcase their products on the exhibition area of 4 000 sq m.

The Milk and Dairy Products. Cheese Salon traditionally distinguishes itself with a wide variety of products. Stands of 147 exhibitors from 18 countries will be located on the exhibition space of more than 3 500 sq m.

The Tea, Coffee Salon noticeably strengthens its position: the companies, which have showcased their products as part of national pavilions before, increasingly prefer to arrange their own stand in the frames of the specialized salon. This year manufacturers from Switzerland, Vietnam, Tajikistan, France and Azerbaijan will demonstrate their goods for the first time. The Tea, Coffee Salon will host 110 companies from 17 countries and occupy about 3 000 sq m of the exhibition space.

Participants in the Alcoholic Drinks Salon, facilitating the development of a civilized market of alcoholic drinks in Russia for two decades, will amount to 400 companies this year.

The Ice-Cream Salon will traditionally present leading Russian and foreign manufacturers, in particular Baskin Robbins, Russky Kholod, Trade House Pospel, Alterwest others. Moreover, German and Italian equipment for the production of ice-cream will be demonstrated at the exposition (in the Salon of Equipment and Services).

The Packaging Solutions for the Food Industry Salon ProdexpoPack will be traditionally organized in the frames of the Prodexpo’2014 exhibition. About 150 companies from Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Italy, Germany and Turkey as well as manufacturers from China, whose number has greatly increased, will take part in this salon.

We can witness further development of the Fruit, Vegetables Salon, among its exhibitors such companies as Torgovyi Dom Fabrika Ovoshchey (Trade House Vegetable Factory), Dmitrovskiye Ovoshchi (Dmitrov Vegetables), Vegetoria, Ergo Expert and others; the Confectionery, Snacks, Nuts, Dried Fruit, Bakery Salon which will host over 400 exhibitors - both Russian major and foreign manufacturers as well as the Frozen Food. Semi-Prepared Foods; Juices, Mineral Water, Soft Drinks; Grocery, Cereals, Pasta, Spices Salons and others.

The exhibition is traditionally accompanied by a rich programme of business-related events.

The Day of Bulgaria will be held in the frames of the Prodexpo exhibition on the 11th of February.

Visiting meeting on Support of Russian Regional Manufacturers devoted to the Quality and Competitiveness of Russian Manufacturers under Current Conditions planned by the State Duma work group of the Russian Federal Assembly will take place on the 12th of February.
