Dmitry Patrushev, Russian Minister of Agriculture

“Over the years, Prodexpo has established itself as one of the most effective and respected business platforms in the food industry. It traditionally not only showcases the industry's cutting-edge achievements, but also gives market participants an opportunity to discuss the most important issues of the industry's development, its trends and prospects.”

The first edition of Prodexpo was held in 1994 welcoming 450 exhibitors from 39 countries. Foreign food producers and suppliers from abroad dominated those years. Russian companies accounted for only one-sixth of the total number of exhibitors. Moreover, most of Russian exhibitors were large importers.

The show grew along with the industry. Now it is one of the world's top ten B2B food events. According to the Russian Exhibition Rating, Prodexpo is the leader in terms of exhibition space, professional interest and market coverage.

Over 30 years, the number of Prodexpo exhibitors has more than quadrupled. Exhibition space has increased fivefold. The share of exhibitors – Russian producers and suppliers – has exceeded 73%.

Showcase

Despite the current evidently difficult economic and political situation in the world, Prodexpo 2023 has attracted a great number of exhibitors and has turned out to be large-scale and interesting.

The key market players – major producers and agricultural holdings – will showcase a wide range of products in demand both throughout Russia and abroad. Thanks to suppliers, the show will display products from more than 70 countries.

Russian exhibitors will showcase meat and dairy products, cheeses, groceries, fish, tea, coffee, ice-cream, health foods, functional foods and biotechnology, as well as equipment, services, and packaging solutions for the food industry.

Companies from Russia's regions are actively building up their presence. Regional business support structures organise group stands and pavilions and also co-finance the participation of Russian regional producers.

Group stands at Prodexpo will enable exhibitors to present their products to a huge audience of retail and HoReCa buyers, expand their potential client base, conclude contracts, and help to promote their brands in new markets.
